National Philanthropy Day® is November 15, 2011
The Association of Fundraising Professionals Northeast Indiana Chapter will celebrate National Philanthropy Day in a new way this year! Stay tuned for the details.
The purpose of National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) is to recognize and celebrate philanthropy’s role in the enrichment of our community and to honor the people and organizations whose philanthropic gifts of time, talent, and treasure have made northeast Indiana a better place.
In honor of NPD, the AFP Northeast Indiana Chapter will present four awards to local individuals and organizations for exceptional commitment to the community through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering, and leadership in philanthropy that encourages others to become involved in philanthropic endeavors that benefit our community. The categories are:
- Outstanding Business or Corporation Philanthropist
- Outstanding Individual, Couple or Family Philanthropist
- Outstanding Youth Philanthropist (5-17 years)
- Outstanding Nonprofit Leader/Fundraising Professional
Nominations for an individual or an organization for one of the Outstanding Philanthropist Awards are due by Friday, September 30, 2011, 12:00 pm EST.
There is one Nomination Form for all four awards; be sure to indicate on the form for which award you are nominating someone. If you have any questions about the nomination process, please contact Jeri Rusk at 260-484-9336 x 230.
